This vintage Philco console radio has been upcycled into a luxury cat hotel. I've restored the original wood cabinet — cleaning and preserving its natural finish, grain, and Art Deco lines — and reworked the inside into a two-story cat condo, with a private room up top and a second, roomier bed below.
The upper level sits behind the radio's original round tuning window, lined in the same warm floral wallpaper as the lower level, with its own soft bedding and a hidden light overhead. Downstairs, the larger opening — dressed with a pair of curtain tie-backs — houses a second plush bed beneath a hanging glass pendant light. Both lights are wired independently to two knobs, so each level can be lit or left dark on its own. A trio of jute-wrapped scratching posts runs down the side, giving your cat something to dig into on the way up.
