FAQ
How do I keep my Nostalgic Nook clean?
- The backs of each bed can detach with a screw driver or screw bit. Then, you can wash the cat bed, vaccum the fabric floor, and clean the walls.
If I get one with a litter box, will my cat use it or want to sleep above or next to its litter?
- Each litter box/bed combo has enough room for the cat to stand and use the litter box with ease. The litter boxes enclosure and beds are completely separate, and owners has reported that their cats use both. However, you need to know your cat. While studies show that most cats do not have a preference for open or closed litter boxes, if your cat doesn't like a closed litter box you shouldn't get one.
Are there special upkeep instructions for a litter box/bed?
- While the litter box enclosures have all the wood covered (so no odor will absorb) and are completely scotch guarded, you should clean yours daily to ensure the cleanest environment for your cat, especially if they use the bed on a regular basis.
Is the litter box/bed for me?
- The litter box/bed combos are excellent for smaller apartments and houses that have less space. However, if you have multiple cats we suggest you follow Jackson Galaxy's advice to have one litter box per cat (plus one extra). So if you have multiple cats you don't have the litter box nook be your only litter box. However, the vast majority of our products are just beds and double beds so please check out everything we offer.
If I order a custom bed, how long will it take?

Where do you get the TVs and radios? Are you gutting working devices?
- I source radios and TVs from around New York and New Jersey. I only look for radios and TVs that are either already gutted or not working. Working radios and TVs or ones that are commonly restored (like CRT TVs for gamers) I stay away from.
What do you do with the parts you gut?
- In the beginning, I recycled the parts but right now I generally save or reuse the parts I gut. The ones I throw out, I make sure to use New York City's safe disposal program. However, I'm in the process of setting up an Ebay account to sell parts on the secondary market. I would also love to work with local shops that fix and restore TVs and radios who might need extra parts. If you run one of those shops, please reach out.
