The 8S154 was one of Zenith's most celebrated consoles — a compact Art Deco statement with reeded columns, rounded shoulders, and the kind of walnut cabinet work that hasn't been standard practice in decades. This one has been converted into a two-level cat bed without disturbing any of that.
The lower compartment opens through the original speaker cabinet opening, now lined in dark botanical wallpaper and anchored by a ribbed glass pendant light. The upper chamber — framed by the original brass grille surround — is fitted with a custom backlit floral panel that illuminates from within. Both spaces are cushioned and finished to the same standard as the cabinet itself.
The original tuning knob has been rewired to control the lighting. It works exactly as it should.
