This Silvertone reflects a classic Art Deco styling with vertical fluted columns on the sides and a stepped, geometric design. Silvertone was Sears' house brand for electronics, and these radios were sold through their catalogs and stores. During the 1930s, radios were the primary source of home entertainment - families would gather around them for news, music, and radio dramas.
