Art Deco Double Cat Palace made from 1941 Zenith Console Radio
Art Deco Double Cat Palace made from 1941 Zenith Console Radio
One-of-a-kind heirloom cat furniture | Walnut veneer | Fully restored & reimagined
This 1941 Zenith console radio has been converted into a double-level luxury cat bed — with all the ceremony the cabinet has always deserved. The original brass dial escutcheon now frames a picture window into the upper sleeping compartment, where a plush bolster bed sits waiting. Below, the open lower berth is wallpapered in deep navy mimosa-branch botanical print and lit by an amber tulip glass globe pendant hung from a brass keyless socket — wired, as always, through the original Zenith control knob.
The effect, in person, is somewhere between a Victorian conservatory and a very well-appointed Manhattan studio apartment. For your cat.
